I also deal with PG and have for 5 plus years.
No pain medication has ever touched te pain I feel for this, so I dont use any, besides an occasional tylenol. Advil isnt recommeded for Crohns patients I am told.
My wound team used a polymem non-stick pad then we cover it with an abd pad and a roll of gauze to old it in place.
Debrieding is god-awful. Had that dne 5 years ago, and my PG was so deep I almost lost my leg. itsdisfigured now and the foot doesnt work as well, but still better to have the leg :s another )
Did the wound vac, have done all kind of treatments, but keeping if covered, not to moist has been teh best option for me. I have been told mine will never heal. It ebbs and flows size wise. It covers almost my whlle right lower leg, all but bout an inch and a half in the back. almost ankle to knee.
IF I can help you in any way, please let me know.
Hugs to you!! IT sucks to have & no one comprehends the pain unless they have dealt with it.
