First, I want to thank all of you this past week for giving me advice on not feeling well.  I knew something else was going on besides a Crohn's flare with persistent fevers, chills, aches, nasal congestion, and cough.  I couldn't take it anymore so I went to the ER.  The ER doc felt I have a bad upper respiratory/sinus infection, and prescribed me Amoxicillin, to be taken 3 times a day for 10 days.  I hope this helps, because I am physically and mentally exhausted..... cry

Sorry to hear about the antibiotics, Julie, but I'm glad to know that there's something other than fibro & Crohn's causing your current problems. Here's to better days ahead!!

Take probiotics so the antibiotics don't cause a crohns flare!!
27 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night.  I take xanax prn for situational anxiety (aka no easy bathroom access).

Just curious about how much vitamin D you take? And what kind of D? The Remicade may be responsible for the sinus thing, but I wondered about the vitamin D because it has the reputation of helping ward off colds and flu - if you are getting enough. The Remicade may make that less effective though.
