I saw an acupuncturist yesterday. She is a medical dr and supplements her practice with Eastern Medicine. She was very knowledgable and upfront about what to expect. I really enjoyed my session and have honestly found "some relief" and a boost in my energy this morning. I havent needed a pain pill since before the session. Any other Acupuncture experiences anyone want to share?

I have used an acupuncturist for joint pain for a few years. I actually haven't been in about 5 months, but before that I was going every week and found a lot of relief. I know I will be going back, I just have not made the time in my schedule. I never really thought that it would work, but was pleasantly surprised by how much relief I got. Not 100% but about 75% and since I can't take the joint pain meds it was the only thing I could do.

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

I find it very helpful for my TMJ and super relaxing.
49 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. December '06 had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now taking Glycolax, Ultra Fiber Plus, Florastor, and DHEA. Have become gluten-free diet per naturopath's tests.

i use it monthly. i love it. i'd do a few times per week if i could afford it. i think cos i learned meditation from my tai chi training i can drop into a way deeper state of relaxation during my session. i also feel i am way more of a hazard on the road driving after acupuncture than i am after a night out of drinking. i'm ready to pass out and just completely useless and relaxed after acupuncture, but also so calm and centered and any stress or worries or concerns are just gone. my brain seems clear and clean. i did it once in the morning and then went to work. big mistake. i got nothing done that day. it has never helped me with my crohn's, imho, but has helped with other things, like injuries from sparring.

I have used it, and I cannot say enough good about it. I found the treatment gave me pain relief and a LOT more energy. I was going every week for 2 months, and it really helped me.
