I just want to say that I have truly found, who I believe to be, the most awesome man in the world.  On Easter Sunday, my boyfriend since 7th grade (crazy right?) proprosed to me.  If I were him, I think I would have ran away screaming by now.  He has been thru and seen it all with me.  All the hospital trips, the vomiting, the surgery, the excessive trips to the bathroom, the "accidents", the whining and complaining, and the worst - a whole year of Prednisone puffy face and mood swings.  I don't know why he is still around and wants to marry me? lol.  He truly is amazing, I am so lucky that he understands my medical needs.   Sorry to "Gush", but he deserves it. Thanks for "listening". smilewinkgrin

lovely news. there is nothing better than a wonderful partner.
49 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. December '06 had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now taking Glycolax, Ultra Fiber Plus, Florastor, and DHEA. Have become gluten-free diet per naturopath's tests.

Congrats! How long have you been together? I got married as a healthy girl and was diagnosed with crohn's 4 months later ironically. My husband is the best supporter, best friend, best caretaker in the world and sounds like yours will be too! We are very blessed as I have heard a lot of stories of people with the opposite kinds of spouses.

Okay...we are happy for you but get that rear end of yours up and TELL HIM how special he is and say YES!

My guy of 27 years just went through a couple of rough weeks with me and at my worse moment (crying for three hours) I bit his head off (for no reason in his control).....He hugged me, told me to quit acting so mean and get my butt back in bed where I belong! All this on our anniversary! Your guy sure is a KEEPER!

Hey, congratulations to you. Any man that can support a Crohn's patient like us is a person of super strength and a super human being. I don't know what I would do without my husband who is my rock. The very best to both of you and I hope that you will be so happy and healthy in the future.
