I don't think the candy is a good idea. I find that slurpee's help as long as not red or orange or even chicken broth. The chicken broth helped the most to make me not feel so hungry. Hope that helps.

You should be able to have jello, but like Nanners said, not red or orange. Jello makes you feel like you are actually eating. I personally like broth, chicken or beef. I lived on jello for months and now I just have a hard time eating it. You also can have Popsicles, juice, ices, basically anything that would be liquid and clear at room temp. But not red since the dye tends to leave red in the intestines that can be mistaken for blood.

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

Italian Ice is yummy, but as others have said, not red or orange ones. Lemon should be perfect.

I buy wonton soup and drink the broth. I get green jello, hard candies, ginger ale, iced tea, ice pops, slurpees..I get pretty sugared out for a day.

I think hard candy would be ok--isn't it mostly sugar?
49 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. December '06 had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now taking Glycolax, Ultra Fiber Plus, Florastor, and DHEA. Have become gluten-free diet per naturopath's tests.
