Prednisone ... feeling great

Started on Prednisone about 8 weeks back on 50mg. Now down to 30mg.
Last labwork showed HGB and Protein levels reaching near normal. Weight increased by 20pounds.
Not seeing those serious steroid effects yet. Except ... that my mind races with thoughts with lack of concentration for abt 3 hrs of taking pred. Take it at 5am to be ready for my workday. This is the first time on prednisone.
Hope this works .. not sure how long.

I didn't experience any of the steroid side effects until my second round of it so...
I'm glad to hear it's helping you though! I remember it gave me a lot of energy..
20 years old, Diagnosed with moderate to severe Crohn's and Colitis in May of 2008.
Currently taking:
Prednisone 10 mg, pentasa 2 pills 4x a day, bentyl as needed, omeprazole in the morning, prenatal multivitamin, humira every other week, and Align probiotics given to me by my GI.
Surgery for ectopic pregnancy most likely the result of severe Crohn's inflammation in July of 2008.
Diet almost completely without refined sugars, wheat, flour, gluten, high lactose dairy, and/or junk food in general.
Learning how to live again.

Pred is a good drug to get things undercontrol fast. Glad to hear you are feeling better and will keep you in my prayers that you continue to improve.
