Hey All,
Waiting on appt. with GI Dr. now, they said my blood levels were high for chrons and elevated for U/C. So not sure whats going on. I need advice! Im living on chicken, potatoes, canned peas, bananas ect. Predinosone. My bowls have completely almost stopped and I bloat like im 4 months preg. and very gassy. Dont mean to sound sick, but all the pain seems to reside on the left side, under my ribs and down. Im not sure why my body is reacting like this now since I stopped all bad food until I get help. If anyone has advice on this let me know.
This is also a depressing disease to have, I know there's worse. I work for a dr. and we have drug lunches, I usually eat a banana or crackers while everyone eats around me. My only safe zone is home. Well, hope all have good day. THANK YOU. cry

My blockage is in the illeium. Here are some things that work for me.

When the pain from gas and bloating get real bad try taking a bath. Fill the tub full with warm water and submerse yourselve until the water covers you. Lay back and relax. Stay there for a half hour. When I do this the bloating seems to ease up. (fart like crazy in the tub and shower after)

Sometimes when I begin to stop-up I will try a liquid diet for a few days, with lots and lots of rest. Sometimes this little break is enough to ease things up. Then I will add solid foods a little at a time. Drink gatoraide for its electrolites. Well cooked roast beef, or tuna is a nice change from chicken.

Get some probiotics (Activia works for me) and some L glutimine. Take them together.

Good luck!
Over 30 years experience! Dx 1976, surgery every seven years, the only effective long term drug has been very low doses of prednisone. Refuse to take anymore immune suppressants.
