I have an upper and lower endoscopy today and I am worried that they wont find anything wrong with me.  I have crohns and I have had to have 4 surgeries recently do to abcesses and fistulas. My blood work is coming more normal now and everything is looking good except that I dont feel good!!  I am worried that the tests today wont show anything wrong.  My doctors are considering a colostomy.  But I am worried that if nothing is wrong they will just decide to wait until I flare again.  Even if I have the colostomy I am not sure i will feel better.   I am just so sick of lying on the couch all day not having the energy that I am used to having.

Wish I had some kind of magic wand that would give you your desired answers, unfortunately I don't. But I can send out some healing thoughts and prayers your way. Hope you find out whats going on to cause you to feel so bad.

I know how you feel when you know something is not right, and want to prove it to the doctors. Even if they put off the colonoscopy, please stress to them how you feel.

dreamer - were you the poster who was studying in London and couldn't get home? Glad you made it back. Are you feeling a little better at least being in your home with your family? Did you end up flying coach? How did you do it?
27 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night.  I take xanax prn for situational anxiety (aka no easy bathroom access).

That was me who was in London.  I am feeling better than I was but I am still not feeling great.  I ended up paying more and flying first class.  I am not sure it was worth it.  It was still the longest day of my life.
But as far as the tests went today.  My stomach is okay, yet they game me a new med sucralfate. its suppose to coat my stomach.  They also said that my colon is normal there is no inflamation and no crohns.  Does that mean i am dont have crohns anymore or what I am now so confused.  They did say that the first 3 inches of my recotom were raw and really inflamed.  I am so confused I dont get why my colon shows no crohns yet I am taking all these meds, and still dont feel good.  I am seeing the surgeon tomorrow so hopefully they will be able to clear some things for me.  Right now I feel lost at sea.

Hi Dreamer!

My CD is only in the rectum so I understand how the rest of the colon can be fine but you feel like garbage. It takes a long time for that inflammation to go down in the rectum even with drugs. Inflammation makes you feel weak and unwell. The drugs probably are making you feel poorly too on top of it all! How are your vitamin levels? Low D and B-12 can also really make you feel bad -- believe me. The good news is that you will feel better in time. It may seem like a long way off now but it will get better for you! You are in with good doctors and they will help you move in the right direction! Praying you feel better at lightening speed!
Diagnosed with Crohn's in early 2007.  Several peri-rectal abscesses and two fistulae with setons.  Allergic to Remicade and Humira.  Currently on 6MP, and vitamins D and B-12.

I know how you feel! I feel like crap and they can't find anything wrong. It's got to be the pills we take. The tiredness is the Crohns and hate that I'm tired all of the time, but I just keep pushing along.
I'm gald that they found no active Crohns, that should put a smile on your face.
Good luck!
