Red vines... They don't seem to hurt me, but how can they NOT be bad???
Gah! I just polished off a large-ish bag of The Vines! ...though they don't seem to give me much problems, it is just a huge sugar rush. I cannot stop eating them. I usually only splurge on them when we go to the movies. I tell my companion(s) I will not
open the bag of Vines until the previews are over and the feature movie starts. Once the bag is
open I will chain eat them until they are gone. I will not prevent anyone from having some of my Vines, but I will probably not think to offer them, so if you want any...you better ask before I've eaten them all.
Food that usually "brings me low" and I "cannot resist" is Crab Rangoon w/ Sweet & Sour Sauce from our fave local Chinese Restaurant.
The only 'good' thing about Crohn's is it has given me a legit excuse to no longer eat at any fast-food place. Well, other than Arby's or Sonic, of course...though I am glad I no longer have to argue about not wanting to eat at McD's, Burger King, KFC, Taco Bell or Wendy's. Surprisingly, Hardy's has changed their menu and greatly improved the ingredients of their foods and I can now easily tolerate a burger there.
I have the ability of single-minded determination and accurate project focu....Hey, look, a cat!
Crohn's and UC are pretty darn crappy, but if you can't laugh at yourself, you'll cry......I'd much rather laugh.
2001 Dx'd with UC. No remission. No improvement with Remicade. 5/2008 surgery, removal of 6" of left side colon. Dx changed to Crohn's. Remission for 8-9wks after surgery, symptoms returned after resuming 6MP. Changed maintenance med to Methotrexate (MTX) and had great results with IM injections. Nausea and symptoms returning with oral MTX. Switched back to IM injections and am slowly improving.
