Ivy has her seton procedure done today and I thought prayers and good thoughts should be sent her way so she may actually get that bed the hospital promised her.

Thinking of you Ivy. Hope you are resting in a comfy bed.
Hoping to stay in remission after the birth of a healthy baby girl. On Pentasa during my pregnancy, went med-free 2 months to nurse (stupid), but back on Pentasa and still nursing.

Thinking of you Ivy and sending you my well wishes for a speedy recovery.

I had my 2nd abscess surgery on Wednesday and am back at work today (Friday – Trojan effort I know). We nearly got flooded in to the hospital so it was a drama-filled day. The hospital staff wouldn’t even let me walk out of the hospital (had to be wheeled out) due to the meds I had been given during the surgery so there is certainly no way they should be sending you home alone!!

I hope it all worked out well and you are resting up and feeling positive.

Ivy! Praying you get a very comfortable bed in a private room, and you have as little stress as possible.
Diagnosed with Crohn's in early 2007.  Several peri-rectal abscesses and two fistulae with setons.  Allergic to Remicade and Humira.  Currently on 6MP, and vitamins D and B-12.

Crohn's and UC are pretty darn crappy, but if you can't laugh at yourself, you'll cry......I'd much rather laugh.
2001 Dx'd with UC.  No remission.  No improvement with Remicade.  5/2008 surgery, removal of 6" of left side colon.  Dx changed to Crohn's.  Remission for 8-9wks after surgery, symptoms returned after resuming 6MP.  Changed maintenance med to Methotrexate (MTX) and had great results with IM injections.  Nausea and symptoms returning with oral MTX.  Switched back to IM injections and am slowly improving.
