Does this always have to be the onset of kidney stones or is there anything else likely? I've had my fair share of stones so I guess it's
likely, and my urine output is really down. however I was putting that down to dehydration!!

BTW, my pancreatic MRI results came back with consistent for chronic pancreatitis, but no evidence of masses or anything more nasty,
so not too bad. Still waiting on the function test...

Hope you're all not TOO bad... LOL

I have been dealing with constant flank pain for about 8 months now. I had a sbft and ct scan along with blood work which all came back normal. My GI thinks its a cyst from my polycystic kidney disease that is aggrevated. My nephrologist thinks it's my Crohn's. I feel like a tennis ball going back and forth between doctors.

I have had kidney stones in the past but they weren't painful. The only reason I found out about them was from a routine ct scan. I think this is very odd because everyone I know who has had a kidney stone is in extreme pain until it passes.

I have continual right flank pain. I just think its either adhesions or just part of Crohns.

Hey Vicky,

I was just thinking, could your flank pain be from your chronic pancreatitis? Another thing I have been wondering about with my flank pain is, is this chostocondritis (sp?). Because mine seems to flare every so often. I do have fibromyalgia too, but this feels so different. Just a thought!

Hugs

Gail, it could be... It's a pain that comes & goes, unlike kidney stone pain. Although my pancreas pain I usually
feel in my mid tummy....

Sometimes I'm so full of pain I don't know what is doing what... Such is life LOL

I have left flank pain that comes and goes.  Its a sharp pain and much more defined than my usual abdominal pain.  I have had several CT scan, MRI, and ultra sounds.  They only thing they found was a "simple cyst" but they say its not related???

Hi Vicky, I'm the same as Gail only more on the left side, then it radiates to the middle and both sides. My scans xray etc showed nothing, so I'm also thinking adhesions, the question being do i keep living with this constant pain or see if they can be fixed, or will it just leave more scars on scars as the surgeons notes said. Talk about between a rock and a hard place, I do find that as hot water bottle helps tremendously.
How's the new bubby doing.?

I am in hospital right now with left flank pain and lower adbominal pain around belly button. CT scan showed no blockage or moving kidney stones.  Pain coming in waves sharp and throbbing.  How ironic this post came up.  So far nothings came up on tests except what we all know..crohns flare.  Only problem--I just had resection surgery for this 3 months ago!!!
