Had my colonoscopy yesterday. It confirmed what dr and I both thought. I still have active crohn's. He found 5 different ulcerated spots right at the surgical sight. Obviously the Imuran has been doing nothing. (or maybe it has slowed it down and it could have been worse).
I was in a bit of denial (knew it was back but didn't really want to admit it) until I saw the pictures and it probably explains more about my joint pain than than just having fibro.

Either way I am on the list for Remicade and just waiting for my insurance to come through hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

This is my last chance of getting this under control. If it doesn't work then I guess I would just sit and wait for the next surgery. The dr is not going to bother with pred as I was on a very high dose before with absolutely no benefits and a bunch of side effects.

I am quite nervous about it all because I have a history of many allergies. They already have on my chart to pre treat with Benedryl. I know there are nurses and all that there ready for such a circumstance but that doesn't stop an allergic reaction.
I am sure I will be better after the first dose and I won't be so worried. Funny I don't really care about the possible side effects long term though. I just worry about the here and now....
