So..... Went to Vegas on vacation and of course I had to walk a ton.  Well I started noticing reddness on my legs and I just figured it was a sunburn, but it progressively got worse and started looking more like a rash.  Went to the doctor and he said that it was vasculitis.  He said that it was in connection with my Crohns disease??  I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this lovely side effect and if so how do you deal with it?  It just seems like what can go wrong will go wrong......................... mad

Vasculitis can be a rare extraintestinal manifestation of Crohn's. Vasculitis also occurs in other autoimmune diseases, such as lupus. If it were me, I would ask to also be tested for lupus. Vasculitis is much more common in lupus. I am not positive, but I also think that Cimzia can cause vasculitis. I would ask them to to some blood tests to rule out other things before assuming it is because of your Crohn's.

Did they put you on prednisone?

I got a rash on my legs, thighs, butt, chest, and arms. I had it for about a week. It looked just like vasculitis, but the docs weren't informed early enough to really tell (my fault). Do you still have yours?
