Somethings been going on latley. Maybe a flare not sure. Thought I'd ask a bunch of experienced people.
Been experiencing pain in my ovary area, down my legs and back!  Feels like really bad period cramps except I have NO UTERUS! Had a hysterectomy in 05' along with my  appendix. Been feeling pretty crampy latley and have gone down to a low residue diet a few weeks ago thinking I'd digest better if I am flaring. Saw my GI and he scheduled a CT and MRI. Had the CT done last week. They still don't have my results.arrg! My MRI is this coming Tues. Meanwhile, I was tested for C-diff...came up negative. (do they ever get this wrong?) I have had C-diff before..terrible! This feels similar but different. I've had Kidney stones off and on and it feels alittle like what I'm feeling except-no dark urine just pain in my ovary area down my legs and back. It wakes me up at night.  Oh, and my joints are killing! Any ideas What this could be? I'm hurting and don't want to go to ER again!
I'm trying to get buy with Tylenol and Bentyl... it's not working! Sometimes the up-keep of chronic illness sucks! It's always something. I don't even know what pain to think about ...I wish they'd take turns.

The symptoms you listed are exactly what I experience when I am getting ready to have a flare. Whch is good for me in a way because it's like a "heads up" to not to stray too far from a bathroom and avoid eating out at all costs (last time we ate out it was our anniversaryand I spent 2/3 of the meal in the restaurant ladies room). I am all to familiar with those period pains, like horrible menstral cramps x10, shooting pains down the front of my upper thighs and lower back pain that reduces me to tears. My wrists usually hurt too, to the point where I have a hard time picking up my three year old.
I wish you luckwith your tests/results.

I agree sounds like you are getting ready to flare. Not alot of people know, but joint pain can be a precursor to a flare. I would give the doc a call and see if you can get on some preventative meds soon to knock this flare out before it gets any worse. BIG HUGS!!

I would agree that it sounds like a flare start, but because I am paraniod freak I think it would not hurt to get your ca-125 tested even with haveing a hysterie because primary paraitonial issues.

If the ct is not conclusive, maybe you could get a simple pelvic ultrasound. that's great at visualizing ovaries. I had that pain several times. Once it was an ovarian cyst, once it was gas pressing on the nerve in the back of the cul de sac (behind the ovary) -- I know it wasn't the ovary because at this point I didn't have any ovaries LOL -- and once it was adhesions/cyst and that pain came and went until i got that ovary out.

An ultrasound might give you the info you need. :)

OH wait. down the back of your leg or the front? If it's the back of your leg, it just might be an irritated sciatic nerve. Look up sciatica on google.

I get pain on the lower right side and it feels exactly like ovary pain, but my docs tell me that it is really my inflammed ileum, which is nearby. I did get a pelvic ultrasound and my ovaries looked fine. 21 years ago I was taking Pergonal for infertility and the pain feels just like that! It is intermittent, and I can't figure it out. Hopefully the CT and MRI will help you figure things out, and you feel better soon

My ovaries used to be a mess with cysts (I also have PCOS). So yes, I had lots of pain in those areas. Hurt pretty darn bad. After figuring out it was my ovaries, they put me on the pill. Which seems to have stopped them from popping up. No more pain. But I never did get pain in my legs or anything, but I know pain can raidate.

At any rate I sure hope they can point where your pain is coming from.

I feel for you. I am having a lot of the same symptoms even after having a cyst drainned from my ovary and it being unattached from my uterus.
This may have already been mentioned, however are your kidneys ok?

I felt my ovary on my right side - come to find out, my Crohn's inflammation was putting pressure on my tube and ovary on that side, as well as my appendix. I had a resection done a month ago, and the surgeon said it was a good thing he removed it - or my female organs could have been in trouble.

Take it seriously-you know when something is wrong. I told my husband for weeks that I knew something was going on in there. I was right : )
