I've been anemic for over 15 years but just the past few months I keep having waves of dizziness. To the point that sometimes I feel like I'm going to pass out. Also, last week I had what my PCP called an ocular migraine, which scared me & I've never had before. I saw my GI today that blamed the dizziness & migraine on the anemia but also wants me to get a physical.
I know all the anemia symptoms, but can they worsen after years of not really having any problems? My hemoglobin isn't even that low - it's in the 10s. Any input?

I agree with Bev, if I get dehydrated I will get very dizzy. I am borderline anemic right now and the biggest symptom I experience is bad fatigue. Hope that helps a little.
