I have been getting blisters at the upper portion of my butt crack.  They itch and them turn into what looks like ulcerations.  They don't scab or just stays very moist there and can take weeks to heal.  It seems to happen a lot after particualary bad episodes of diarrea.  I don't know if this causes the D, or the bumps is a result of D.  I didn't know if it could be candidia.  I pray it's not Herpes, but I haven't been with anyone other than my husband since we have been married...and years before.  So unless it can take 10 years to show... I am stumped.  I just know Crohn's can be tricky and can make it's pressence know in so many ways.  Has anyone had or heard of a similar reaction?

I have not heard of this, but definetly think you need to bring it to your doctors attention. Keep us posted on what the doc says, I will be interested in knowing what it is.

Good luck,

I am wondering if it is what I had once. It happened under my bra strap in front. It was summer and I was working outside a lot. The skin stayed too moist and started to break down. If was a skin yeast infection -- diaper rash -- and it really hurt like it was burned. It took a while to heal. I suggest you keep it as dry as you can all the time. I kept finely woven sterile guaze over it and changed it often to keep the skin dry. Another choice that might help is to apply a zinc oxide ointment (like Balmex for baby diaper rash). This will keep the skin protected from moisture.

I agree with Nanners that you should ask your doctor about it. I hope you find a solution!

I too suffer with issues with my butt crack. Man only on this forum could a person say that...

Here is the posting where I recently inquired:

I have had the cracked crack for so long I don't recall if it started a blister but I know where the doc is concerned that a fistula may be forming looks like a blister. Bottom line, get to a dr. Until then the burts bees ointment recommended in the posting that contains the vitaimin E had helped the most with the pain.
