The doc only saw a sac.  We were hoping to see more.  He said it could be too early to see anything and took blood.  I will know the results of that blood test later today.

I cried and cried and then I had to go to work.  Good thing my boss is out of the office so she won't see my puss face.

He tried to tell me not to think negatively and it could very well just be too early and maybe I miscalc'd my weeks.

Well, I hope so.

On the good side, he's a good doc, nice guy and I'm comfortable with him.

He also said I may not need a C section but said that women at my age tend to have them 50% of time anyway regardless of any medical conditions.

Crohns has been active but not making me too miserable.  He's ok with my meds and the supplements I'm on.  He has lots of patients with Crohns.

Hi Susan,

How stressful... hang in there Susan {{{HUG}}} I'm hoping it is just too early to see. Was it a transabdominal or transvaginal u/s? How long are your cycles usually, and when was your last period? I'm 43 and considering trying for another baby, and I was so excited to hear of your pregnancy. I hope and pray all is well with you. Keep us posted.

It was a trans vaginal.  Last week we saw a sac too.  I'm usually 28 days.  I was early the month before so maybe my cycles are a bit off.

The calc from LMP which was May 14 I think.  I could be wrong but that would put me at 6 weeks.  Maybe it's just too early.

I can't even concentrate.

That's stressful but 6 weeks is pretty early. As long as your blood work went well, just wait it out a bit. On the up side, this might mean you'll get an extra u/s so you'll get to see the heartbeat next time. I think we saw it first at 8 weeks and the doc said that may even be too early.
Hoping to stay in remission after the birth of a healthy baby girl. On Pentasa during my pregnancy, went med-free 2 months to nurse (stupid), but back on Pentasa and still nursing.

Well the numbers are good. They are sending me to the ultra sound unit at Cornell where they have more sensitive equipment.

It's possibly that it's just too early.

Hubby is coming with me this time.  I told him I'm done doing this by myself.

I had a sono done today at Cornell.  That was the longest pelvic sono I ever had.  They still saw just a sac but also a yolk sac.

They want to see me in about 7-10 days again for another.  They think I'm about 5-6 weeks instead of 6-7 weeks.  So next week we will know more.

It's my first.  I'm hoping really hard that it's a viable pregnancy.

I'm still praying. Just remember your numbers are good and try to relax. I know waiting another 7 - 10 days must seem like an eternity right now.
