What does the Remicade dosage say about the state of your Crohn's?

I am on Remicade to treat a major fissure that would not heal and to prevent other symptoms. I was at the minimum for my weight and it worked mostly, but not all the way. I had a second colonoscopy (two years into Remicade) that showed I had a 2nd fissure. My GI increased my dosage to the maximum and I am 100 percent healthy for the 1st time since my dx. What does this say about my Crohn's? Am I a real sicky or what?
Bad fissure Feb 2005, still have it January 2006. On Pentasa and Imuran 100mg. Some slight swelling and ulceration of terminal ileum. No other symptoms. Now on Remicade!

My non-medically researched answer solely based on my own Remi years...

I wouldn't necessarily view it as you being "really sick" to need that much remicade, but more about how the body tolerates the medicine itself. My body is absolutely crazy when it comes to flushing things out... and there were periods in my Remicade treatment where I needed the full dose every four weeks. Then later, my body seemed to forgive me and I could stretch them out to every 16...and there was no direct disease manifestation or correllation... it just took more to make me feel good. I dunno, but I would definitely be revelling in the fact that you're at 100%. No small feat around these parts. My congratulations to you!
27f, dx'd CD July '05 after 6 fistula/abscess surgeries
Remicade '05 through '08, with no other maintenance meds (ah, those were the days, eh?)
Tried Humira. Failed. Tried Gluten Free. Leaning towards Failure there too.
Currently on:
Cimzia (started 2-12-09) Again, not helping much, if at all.
Probiotics, Digestive Enzymes, Forvia vitamins, and calcium chewies
Feeling a bit jaded lately, but trying to keep my chin up.
