Hello everyone,
Wow what a crazy crazy day.  Im about sick of this IBD.  ive been flaring really bad the past couple of days, and u won't believe this but it all started after I ate a mint!  I was doing good all week long till i started sucking on a mint at church, and then 10 minutes later I was running to the bathroom.  How could a mint cause my entire butt to burn??  Im so confused.  I was fine until i ate it.  Has anyone else ever had this happen to them???  This sucks

It would take more than 10 minutes for anything to pass through your system, so it was probably something else - probably something you had 24 or more hours before that time. The mint is probably just a coincidence.

A mint or peppermint is actually good for your stomach as it is supposed to soothe it. It has to be something that you ate at least a couple hours earlier.
