I did much like you, I lived for almost 20 years as if I didn't have Crohns. But the Crohns never forgot me, while I was busy getting on with my life, the Crohns was still in there doing its damage microscopically. My 20 year med free remission ended with an emergency resection due to complete obstruction. Sounds like you might have escaped that for now, hopefully its just inflammation and the meds work for you. I can tell you one thing I learned, is that I will never be med free again. I don't want a repeat to occur. Do keep us posted on how you are doing.

Been living with Crohn's Disease for 33 years. Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, Calcium w/Vit D, and Xanax as needed for my anxiety. Resections in 2002 and 2005. Also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, and Anxiety. Currently my Crohns is in remission, but my joints are going crazy!
