I have to have yearly colonoscopies and for the past 10 years I have always used the Fleets Phososoda.  I have my prep. Wednesday and they have given me Magnesium Citrate. Has  anyone used the Magnesium Citrate and if so are there any tricks.  Thank you so much.

Well, its not the best tasting stuff in the world. *massive understatement* but it does taste better than the Lytely swamp water and even better that the PS in 4 ozs of anything. I've even managed to get the first 10 oz bottle down w/o mixing w/anything. And only cutting the second bottle w/equal amount of whatever is your pleasure.
Some people are like Slinkies... Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

My GI uses mag cit for prep as follows: Fast all day on the day prior to the scope. In the afternoon take 4 Dulcolax tablets. Drink the first bottle of magnesium citrate that evening and the second early the next morning. I get the lime flavored, which is really not bad at all, and of course the total volume is nothing comparied to the giant Golytely jug. This prep has always worked well for me. And yes, you should drink the whole bottle. It's not weight but length that matters and your intestinal tract is probably the same length as mine.
