We finally have the low dose naltrexone pills for my son and are going to start them tonight.  I was wondering on any of the other people out there that are already on it, how it is going?  Our GI is humoring me to let us try it but he doesn't think it will work.  As I understand it though, it is doing well for a lot of people and the kids in the study in PA.

Up in our Crohns resources we have a medicine thread. We have had many discussions about LDN and you can find info in the following thread:

I don't know if I am doing something wrong or what but everytime I cut and paste one of the LDN links, it comes up with server error. I'm sorry if I put my post in the wrong place, I am just not sure how or where it goes.

My daughter is 21 and started LDN four weeks ago. First few days no side effects. Then the following side effects for days 5-9: gas, bloating, would come home from work exhausted and with subnormal temperature - but after a nap the temp went to normal.

After the 9th day on LDN, the fatigue disappeared and so did the other side effects. She never has D or pain, so the only way we can tell whether she is better is through her labs: she just had bloodwork done the other day, and we are waiting for the results.
