Just got back from the doc. Been losing weight again. I am soo skinny. He gave me prednisone for a 10 week burst. Im not sure if I ever hated anything as much as prednisone but looks like its the only choice at the moment. I need the weight gain and my arthritis is through the roof too. Im a grown man and I truly feel like crying right now. Just exhausted from it all.
Crohns 30 years. Ileostomy for 15 years. Symptom free for 14 years until 10 months ago. Was on Remicade but just recently switched to Humira because remicade stopped working, B-12 injections and iron.

(((TONY))) Only good thing about Pred is it does get you feeling better quickly, I just wish it wasn't so hard on the body.

I just ended a pred taper about a month ago and SOMEHOW managed to avoid all side effects, I thought I was in the clear until I started to flare up again...back on the pred...I feel the side effects coming on now...with a vengeance.  My cheeks are starting to get sore and I got little black hairs coming it around my mouth, and Im just all achy and moody...oh lordy.  Honestly, CRY if it makes you feel better. Throw yourself a pitty party and snuggle up and watch a movie. I know you're a manly man, but hey...we all have our days!
