Crohn's specialist

Does anyone see a Crohn's specialist at UNC or Duke? We live in NC & my husband has just seen a gastro dr the past 5 years..........

I live in NC also. I was dx by Dr. Christopher Mantyh @ Duke. He is a surgeon though. He has what appeared to be, a well informed ,concerned staff of gi's that I met. I am pre ex.until Jan2010. However, I do intend to retun then. My wonderful gi and colon rectal surgeon at this time, is with Physicians East in Greenville,NC. I do not know if this has helped. I would recomend either!  Hope that helped some.

thank you! I've run into a bit of a stumbling block getting his gastro's office to give him a referral to UNC! I asked to talk to his Dr - don't see why he should have to drive to Eliz City & spend $50 on an appt to get a referral! I may call UNC and see if he can get a referral from his GP.....
