6mp causes hairloss?

my son just started losing his hair from the 6 mp he is taking. Has anyone else had this happen to them? thanks!

Yes some shedding of hair is normal with 6mp. Many add extra Folic Acid and or Biotin to help stop it. Good luck!

Crohn's Disease for over 33 years. Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, Calcium  w/Vit D, and Xanax as needed. thank you!! He is on folic acid but we just started that last week. He's on the lowest dose of 6mp and we are hoping to either keep it that way or get him off of it completely. After reading some of the other 'diet' posts, I wanted to add that we are getting our son tested, as well as the rest of the family for food allergies. We just had our daughters results come back with dairy allergy Since we've all remained off dairy, everyone seems to be doing better.
mother of son with crohns diagnosed at 11, on 6mp, probiotics, vega. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 12 years ago.

Yes I had hairloss as well as numerous other side effects worse than that, didn't agree with me at all so I stopped taking it. I hope the hairloss stops and he improves taking that medication.
