A few years ago I had to have my old ticker replumbed. This made taking a shower with the shower head up on the top of the tub a bit difficult. We bought one of those shower wands ,as they were called then. Nothing to install, I did it with my chest wired together . It has a setting on it I call pressure washer. Just a few jets in the center of the wand shoot water out at a pretty nice pressure. Kinda nice on a sore neck but I have found it works well for keeping it tidy where the sun dont shine also. Kinda like a bidet on steroids.  Us crohnies need some help there at times and its helpful for a sore behind to be very clean. If you dont have one, you may want to try it. It also is very good for running unwanted doorbell ringers away from the front door. Just a few shots from the upstairs bathroom window and they disappear in a flash. See, I told you they work well for that pain in the butt we get...
If we would read the secret history of our enemies,we would find in each mans life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.

I am completely, madly, and thoroughly in love with my sprayer!!!  I rarely wipe anymore.  I just go in the toilet and then move over to my bath tub.  It is the absolute best for cleaning setons and wounds.  And no irritation from wiping.

I have thought about informing the shower sprayer companies of the wound/hemi/seton cleaning benefits of their products.  I think they would get more customers if they advertize these wonderful uses of their product.   Do you think they would be interested?  tongue    The ads would be eye-openers --  "Crohnies can save dollars by not using several rolls a day -- just spray it away instead!"   "Got a deep, gaping abscess wound around your anus?  Spray it clean with our shower sprayer!"  (show close-up pictures)   "And look how easy it is to spray the poop out of my setons!" (show close-up pictures)

I am half serious about this.  I remember a scene in a movie -- I forget the name - where old folks responded very enthusiatically to a laxative commerical with the slogun "It makes you go to the bathroom."  Doctors really should tell patients about the wonders of shower sprayers!

Diagnosed with Crohn's in early 2007.  Several peri-rectal abscesses and two fistulae with setons.  Allergic to Remicade and Humira.  Currently on 6MP, and vitamins D and B-12.
