prep and c scope i am so scared my heart is racing i cant sit still my head hurts i am just really scared i dont want to do this i dont think i can ugh sorry guys about this i just needed somewhere to vent

You CAN do it. It IS ugh, but the prep is the worse part, and then you get the scope done and you have a lot more information. Hang in there!! Best wishes.
44 years old. Diagnosed with moderate to severe Crohn's in April 2005. Hiatus hernia diagnosed in 2008. Had Crohn's under control until March this year when I had a major flare up and ended up in hospital. Diagnosis is now CD and IBS. Getting it under control again.
Currently taking: Salofalk 2000 mg, Calcium and Vitamin D, Matamucil, Yogurt for probiotics, Salofalk suppositories as needed.

When I drink the prep, I hold my nose. It helps a bit with that ucky taste. Hang in there! I used to dread prep's and colonoscopies, but it truly gets easier each time.

What prep do you have? The least offensive one I've done is dulcolax followed by Miramax.
34 years old, Crohn's disease for 15 of them
Resection of ileocecal valve on 09/22/09
Current Meds: Pentasa, Effexor XR, Zyrtec
Supplements: 3 kinds of Fish Oil, Multi-Vitamin, B-Complex, Vitamins D, E, & K, Calcium, Magnesium, Enzymes
SCD since 12/01/08 - eating Stage 3 foods

I find the scope part rather relaxing thanks to the fantastic drugs they put you on.

yeah i dont know if they will ever get easier for me and the drugs dont work on me the last time they did it under general but the new gi wants to try just the mild sedation
and my prep is the ducalax and the miralax mixed with gatorade the worst part with that one is how much u have to drink and having to do it twice i had to drink 40 oz at 5 and 24 at 4 in the morn  i didnt keep it all down i hope that dosnt mess things up
im not doing it again anytime soon
