Anyone out there taking Pentasa and Humira at the same time?  DH has been on Pentasa for "forever" and Humira for three years.  At last gastro appointment, doc mentioned he could "probably" quit taking Pentasa since he was on the Humira.  He said he probably wasn't getting much benefit from the Pentasa.  Anyone have any input?

The combination worked well for me, but I feel like Pentasa helps more than anything else at the moment. I know doctors say that it doesn't really do anything, but I stay better on it, and I can tell the difference when I forget to take it a number of times in a row. I'm sure humira has helped me, but I can't tell too much different may just be that it helped me get to where I am now, and that the Pentasa is helping me stay here.

I am on the sister med Asacol and I can tell you if I didn't take it I would flare shortly thereafter. Just tell your doctor you are more comfortable continuing on it with the Humira. Good luck!
