Well i was on remicade for 1 year 4 monts, however it did not put my crohn's into remission. I change to Humira in July and I can say my crohn's fianlly finally went into remission. I can eat so much more now.. Corn, anything green (expect I haven't tried salad yet as this was the worst for me, little scary) I never have a sore stomach anymore. I do have flare up once and awhile but nothing like before. It's more, oh i have to go to the bathroom, with a little D and then I am fine and eat whatever i want again.
I suggest you keep on eye out for anti-bodies with Remicade as it will cause arthritis. Ask your doc to do regural blood work (which they should be doing anyways to keep an eye out for you liver) and to include anti-bodies into that. My doc nevr did. I found out on here about
anti-bodies (after being crippled for 8 months)
I just the best of luck to you with remi, I hope it's the med for you!!!
