So I've been flared for awhile now, but the pain level is hitting new levels of annoyance. I generally have a pretty high tolerance, but last night I was so sore I could not lay on either side because it hurt too much.....ended up sleeping on my back, which I hate. Laying on my left side was flat-out excruciating. I just started Entocort, so hopefully that will kill some of this inflammation that is plaguing me. Blah.

Sorry, just had to whine. :(

Hey Whiner join the club. I was crying like a baby this morning. My own fault, I gorged on sauteed onions last nite. What a dummy I am. Did you try heat? I used a microwave type heating thing and I sat back in a chair that vibrates. I am not sure why (or even if it is true) but the vibrations seem to help me after a while.
Feel better.
I use FD&C Blue dye number 1 and it really seems to help me.  There is SCIENCE behind this.  Just ask me and I will explain it to you.  U/C and Crohn's for 34 years.  Blue dye for one month and I am feeling pretty good!  I am so excited by this but I need others to try it with their doctor's permission.  Simple food coloring!!  BLUE1.
I can't make money on this, it's already in your kitchen.  I just want to help.
I do 2 drops in 6 ounces of water when I get up, 2 or 3 drops in 16 or 20 ounces of water that I sip all day and then 2 drops in 6 ounces of water at bedtime.   Max of 7 drops a day.  Give it about ten days.  I am NOT a healthcare professional.   Ask your doctor if this is safe for you.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well :( I had the same kinda bad night a little over a week ago... on prednisone now and it's helping quite a bit! I feel like I generally have a high pain tolerance too but as you know sometimes it's just too much and we need to talk (whine) about it. I hope the entocort does its thing and that you're able to get some rest!
