Thank you so much for the warm welcome kind words and prayers. You are all in my prayers as well. My son is doing okay. When he was 10 weeks old he had a small piece of colon removed and was given a temporary ostomey to let his colon rest. It was difficult to see on such a tiny baby but he thrived and became like a normal baby. He was put on imuran for 8 months and then was able to go off it. He was doing very well and when he was 3 they reversed the ostomey. Potty training was difficult but after about a year we were good to go. Things were great for him. This was the time I started to experience problems and a colonoscopy revealed I had uc. I was put on Asacol and Rowasa. I have been in remission for a year and a half now. Unfortunately a year ago my little guy started having problems again. He is on medication now and we go in two weeks to discuss other options. He missed half his Kindergarten year but is miraculously right with his peers . He is 6 now and understands so much but it has caused some anxiety and he is seeing a really great child psychologist that help children who have experienced this kind situation. He always has a smile on his face even when I know he is hurting. I really understand what the other mothers are going through. Sometimes it seems never ending.
