Hi everyone,
I just joined the group and posted a question about Cimzia. Reading through some of the threads, I noticed that an introduction is also preferred. I just wanted to say hello and thank you for the support. I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2007. It was very mild--mainly stomach pain and mucous. Then, I gave birth in 2008 and I was introduced to a much more severe case of the disease. My daughter is 18 mos. now, and I still haven't gained control of the post-natal flare. I think I spent a few months in denial but am slowly realizing that I need to manage this responsibly.
I had some flare control with Prednisone but also gained weight, got the moon face and the hump back. I'm reluctant to go back on it. My doctor suggested Cimzia today and said he'd start the paperwork. So, I just posted another thread with questions about it.
I'm enjoying reading through the threads here. This is a wonderful and supportive group. I look forward to joining the discussion.
