It does sound like a stricture to me. When I had a stricture before my resections, I suffered with really bad constipation like that before the big pain attack happened. I was taking stool softners nightly for a couple of years and they kept things moving, but after awhile it was like nothing would work. I would be VERY careful with trying anything other than what the doctor told you to do, as fiber supplements would be bad if you have a stricture because it could cause even more problems for you. Increasing your water intake might help a little, but I really think you need to get in and get some testing done to see whats going on inside. Have you asked your doctor about
trying a scope prep? But don't do it without talking to your doc first. Good luck and keep us posted.
