I've been having issues with my stomach for the past few months.
I got sick two weeks ago.  I threw up and couldn't eat for about two days.
I recovered for the most part BUT now I'm having intestinal pain/cramping and my stools look darker than normal. It's not black or tar like. But it's as if I had taken iron pills. I've had this kind of coloring before but it went away in time. stools are so smelly. They smell like dirty trash, not that any trash is clean but you get the point. I don't know if maybe it's because I get constipated. But I mean it's only been two days since I last went. I go at least a little a day. But it takes so much effort and I don't want my hemmies to get worse so I just go a little and then wait till the next time I get the urge to go.
Can't believe I'm posting so many details, but I'm worried that maybe I should call my doctor and ask.
Has anyone ever had internal bleeding? If I was internally bleeding I would know, right?  Does it sound like I should call my doctor?
Help! shocked

Yes, it would be a good idea. Did you eat licorice? It can cause black stools. Even so, you know best what is normal for you and running it past your doc can't hurt.

No licorice. I take prenatals as my vitamin but they dont make my stool darker. I haven't had any dark foods. I mainly eat chicken and veggies.
