I had surgery in Feb 2007 and I felt so good that I almost thought I might never get Crohn's again, so I didn't participate on this Crohn's site for a long time. But, I'm back.
Short History:
Diagnosed with Crohn's 33 years ago. Been on all the drugs at one point or another, currently on Imuran. Have had seven or eight surgeries in all, can't even remember what they were all for, but at least 3 were resections.
Currently I have an "ulcer" or "fissure" in my anal canal. My gastro doesn't think it is bad enough to have symptoms so he's ordered anything except for sitz baths and Proctosedyl cream. Doesn't seem to help much.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

For my fissures, my doc rx's a compounded creme with niphedipine and lidocaine. It has worked wonders for me.

And are you real comfortable with this doc? Cuz a pain in the but, is more than an bad enough.
If you aren't comfortable with this, look for a second opinion or something.

Thanks for advice. I have an appointment with my GP. I'll ask about and for it.
