This is so gross, gosh. I'm in college and for the past few weeks my butt-hole has been hurting a lot. Every time I... relieve myself it aches and feels sore. What could be the reason for this? I'm 18, I'm a first year in college and I don't have a lot of time to see the doctor. Could this be something horribly wrong? I'm really worried because I've never had a problem like this. Could it be hemorrhoids? Could I have a very oddly specific and acute inflammation? Has anyone experienced something like this before?

Please advise me! Freaking out!

I get that too, for me I think it's a few things; I do have hemmorhoids and skin tags (not that bad) and I think possibly a really small fissure that gets irritated when I go to the bathroom alot but I don't really notice it the rest of the time. How are your other symptoms? Are you in remission right now?
I've found that using anusol (it's an ointment you apply to the area) helps alot.. it's very soothing I guess?
Don't worry about being gross, just feel better!! :) Good luck!

I think we all sometimes have a bit of pain. Maybe try carrying some wet wipes with you so you can make sure everything is nice and clean and then use some soothing cream after each BM. There are lots of OTC creams that have some form of benzocaine or other soothing lotion. You could try some tucks wipes which have witch hazel in them, some people like those. I just get the travel packs of moist wipes from the sample section of the drug store and carry those in my purse. They are much softer than any TP in public bathrooms anyway.

If that doesn't help after a few days then you might need to call the doctor and get something a bit stronger.

And never worry about being too gross here. We've all been there, done that!

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

Someone in the forum recommended a product called Balmex to be found in the baby aisle. I've looked for it but haven't found it yet. Maybe it's not avaliable in Canada. I'm with sickandlucky regarding anusol or anusol plus.
