Hi all...

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a fast absorbing mutli-vitamin and calcium supplement. Also, does vitamin D and magnesium need to be taken with calcium, in order to get the full benefit of it?

Actually the Vitamin D3 helps the calcium to absorb better. I take 3000 units of Vitamin D, and then my Calcium supplement also has 400 units in it. As for the fast absorbing vitamins, I can't take them as they upset my gut so I can't help you there.

Have you tried Vitaballs? They are gum vitamins and don't upset your stomach. I am assuming most of them are absorbed through the mouth and maybe a little of what you swallow while chewing the gum. I don't know how the quality is but I take them b/c they don't upset my stomach. I've heard of spray vitamins and sublingual vitamins before but don't know where to purchase them. Perhaps a google search would turn something up.

I take vitamin strips. They dissolve in your mouth and go into the bloodstream, without having to be absorbed by the GI tact. similar to sublingual. They don't upset my stomach.
Diagnosed with CD 3 years ago.  Refused to take meds until recently started Colazal.
Currently on Prednisone 40mg. Tapering down, now on 20mg.
Colazal 3xday, Antioxidant strips
 Off of the Prednisone!!
