Hive? Could it be a Skin Tag? Could it be a abscess/fistula/ about to break through? I don't remember seeing your post last week, sorry, so I am not sure if I am repeating anything...

Are you running a fever? Yes, you can get yeast infections in weird long as this been going on?

You may want to call your doc and have it looked at before next week (or is your appointment tomorrow?). Keep us posted and I hope you find relief soon!

Hi there, sorry to hear about the "pain in the butt".  Yes, a yeast infection can happen in or on the butt.  Use a yeast cream on teh effected area 2 to 3 times a day until you get relief.  Also, keep taking those sitz baths as much as possible.

If you get the AZO Yeast, you can take that 3 times a day as well, then once a day there after to keep the yeast under controle.  Another great thing to fight yeast and keep your tummy happy is to take a really high quality Probiotic.  I get mine from the health food store in the refridg section,  its called New Chapter Organics (brand).

Best of luck to you, I can sympathise and feel terrible for ya.cry

How would I know if this was a yeast infection? The area is RED... itchy and sometimes hot. i am also having some vaginal discharge which could be yeast as well... I HATE this! I think if it is, the fact that the area is never dry for long will make it hard to get better...

Yes, you can get yeast infections down there...I always get a yeast infection when I go on antibiotics, mostly a vaginal one, but I do get them anally as well. For over the counter, you can try any of the creams or you can go to the dr and get the pill.

When my son was an infant in diapers, he would get a yeast infection if I put powder or cornstarch in his diaper.

Yeast infections suck, so hope you can get it taken care of soon!

Dx'd w/ Crohn's in 1979 at age 14, have had minor flares throughout the years, but mostly kept in remission. Bad flare 2008 but no health insurance so I dealt with it. Colonoscopy in July 2009 caused a perforated colon, emergency bowel resection. Was on Pred. Dr. wants to try Humira...
Currently just take a multivitamin, calcium, magnesium, and fish oil.

I stopped all the creams i was using including one of my prescription creams. My butt seems better. I think that because it was moist ALL the time between the meds and just being in the BR,. it was not good. Seeing my doc on Wed.. will see what he says
