Well...the news is good (knock on wood), as of about one week ago, my daughter seems to be in full remission. Healthy normal BMs, no pain, huge appetite, energy to spare, normal amount of gas (LOL), skin color is better.  She is a happy kid again, enjoying life!  Feels like a huge weight has been lifted.  She even gained a pound back this week.
This happened literally almost over night...from one full week of daily tummy aches to the next week of feeling fantastic.  She is on Pentasa, Entecort and now 6MP, along with multiple supplements.  I understood that it normally takes anywhere from 2 - 3 months (or even longer) for the 6MP to start to take affect.  But BOOM, she feels fantastic (like I haven't seen her in over a year) after exactly 5 weeks on 6MP. this the 6MP at work quickly, or could this be because we also increased her daily intake of Vitamin D3 from about 500 IU (give or take) to 4000IU daily?
I don't want to get too excited...I'm always afraid this stage of feeling great is fleeting... but WOW what a difference for her.

I don't know the answers to your questions just wanted to say that it is fantastic news and I hope she stays in remission for many, many years to come.

Great news! I would guess it's the 6MP.

Maybe she is one of the lucky ones and the 6mp has kicked in for already. I can tell you when I increased my Vit D3 up to over 3000 units within a few weeks I started feeling pretty good too. Glad she is feeling better.

Thanks everyone. It's like having my previous child back...wonderful.  Praying it lasts.  MissaPriss, good luck. I sincerely hope it works for you too. Please keep us posted on your progress with it. I'm very very interested to see if it works for you, and if so, how quickly.  Are you also taking Vitamin D3?
