Once every two weeks just isn't working for me. After the loading doses, I felt great! Now, after two regular doses (one shot every two weeks), I feel worse than before I started. I've also had a cold for the past month- I even went to urgent care to get checked for pneumonia because my fever was so high yesterday, but was told it's "just a cold". I've been taking immodium to control my stomach to avoid accidents, but even that's not working anymore. I think I need more Humira- but not if I'm going to have a horrible cold and fevers all the time! The kicker is, I can't get in to see my GI for another 3 weeks, they're completely booked.
I feel pretty stuck. Anyone been through this? Did the increase in Humira make you more susceptible to catching upper respiratory infections?

I never had any issues with being on immune suppressants and having more illnesses so I can't speak to that.

We did up my Humira over time and it helped tremendously. Can you not talk to the nurse and see if your GI will change your script for now until you can see him?

I upped my does from every two weeks to every ten days and it has helped tremendously. I also started entocort when I bumped up my dose so I think the combo was a winner for me. I hope you can find that magical combo or maybe the humira alone will work at a more frequent dose. Feel better with your cold!
