Do you ever wonder if some de-stress medication would do more for your CD than anything else?

Or, I wonder if the insurance company would buy me a 10-day cruise? That would be sure to cure me.
CD since July 2007 - prenatal vitamins + extra vit. D, vit. C and iron, fish/flax oil, probiotics

Following excellent Omega-3 diet as per James Scala's 'The New Eating Right for the Bad Gut' - got me out of a flare.

De-stress medicnes would definitely help. Stress is one of biggest triggers of Crohns. Talk to your doc about this. If he can get the insurance company to pay for the cruise, I'll join you.

Me too! Me too! yeah
Dx'd w/ Crohn's in 1979 at age 14, have had minor flares throughout the years, but mostly kept in remission. Bad flare 2008 but no health insurance so I dealt with it. Colonoscopy in July 2009 caused a perforated colon, emergency bowel resection. Was on Pred. Dr. wants to try Humira...
Currently just take a multivitamin, calcium, magnesium, and fish oil.

I take Xanax on those bad days when I am really stressed. It REALLY helps alot. Matter of fact, just took one five minutes ago:)

I find myself wondering this too. I have a hard time controlling stress and anxiety and have been having a difficult time keeping my cd under control for over a year now with ongoing stress that is just out of my control. I think I need to talk to my doctor about this idea. I can totally feel my gut crunching up when I am stressed. Deep breathing just doesn't help that much.
Dxd CD in 2003. Scope Aug/09 shows UC.
Meds: Colazal, prilosec, darvocet, prednisone, cipro, flagyl
