Hi... i started having problems since 2003, finally in 2005-2006 i was dx w crohn's. Went to the hospital more than twice took asacol, pentasa, predisone, etc. In 2007 i started taking remicade which made a little bit of difference, in March 2008 i found out i was expecting a little one. I was really scared because i thought i was going to have alot of problems during the pregnancy but NO it was wonderful actually during those 36-40 weeks i felt really good i was able to eat everything me and the little on wanted, I kept taking remicade during pregnancy which didn't affect my baby :) she is healthy and growing (thank God!) This year not going so well remicade wasn't working like we thought, had colonoscopy on march and  found that i a have blockage...:(  2 weeks ago i was in the hospital for 5 days. Taking predisone for now but dont' know was its next...
I have an appt with another GI on tues will see..

Hi Viv and welcome to Healingwell. I too am sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly. Hopefully, the Pred will help to quiet things down and they are able to find another maintainence med that will work for you. Have you tried Humira? Just a thought. Hugs!
