My jaw started popping really loudly a few months ago after I started the Pred. I figured that was what was causing it but the GI I saw the other day said he'd never heard of Pred causing that. It is sooooo annoying and loud. Anyone else had trouble with their jaw popping before?

Sounds like you have TMJ. I've noticed that when my crohn's is bad, the TMJ is bad too. Now that my crohn's is under control, my jaw no longer hurts or pops. It must have to do with inflammation or something.

I am guessing, based on my own experience, that you may be clenching your jaw.  Especially on higher doses of pred.  I used to chew a lot of gum to help deal with the anxiety the pred caused versus clenching my teeth.
Diagnosed (FINALLY) UC Sept 09/Diagnosis amended 5-3-10 to Crohn's
Taking Pentasa 500mg/8x/day
Entocort 3X/day
Bentyl as needed
1000 mg Vitamin C
Prilosec 1X/day
