Have been on Humira for 2 1/2 years now. My blood pressure in the past was always fine, around 110 to 120. A year ago it was around 140 over 90. Just got back from the Gastro and they took it  3 times, 160/106 (which I guess is dangerously high). Told me to go to a GP for treatment, and that maybe Prednisone may add to it (I was on much higher Predinisone before with normal pressure). Also since the Humira is starting to loose it's effect, wanted me to add Immuran to my meds in addition to Humira. Got back and googled Humira High blood pressure and there are warnings that it can be a major side effect, which he did not mention. Was wondering if anyone else had problems with Humira and High BP. I have also been getting terrible headaches about once a week on Humira  and wondering if connected to the High BP. Thinking I may be better off taking 25 to 30 MG Prednisone than the 15 mg I am up to now and stopping the Humira, but don't know.

I have really low BP and am on Humira since Jan 2009. I did not know that was one of the sideffects.
I will monitor my BP a little closer mow.

My blood pressure was 120/60 which was normal, then I got crohn's and it went up. could it be the crohn's playing with your system?? I know that's my problem.

Don't think so, have had Crohn's for over 30 yrs and the high BP just for the last couple. Maybe from something else though, just trying to narrow the possibilities.

I was on Humira and it caused me high blood pressure. It is not reversible either. I always had low, almost dangerously low, blood pressure. I was getting horrible headaches a few months into starting Humira. I often looked red in my face and was hot all of the time. I went to my primary care doctor and my BP was 150/90. Previously it had always been around 100/70, sometimes lower. My GI doc did not think it was the Humira (did not seem worried about it at all), but my primary care doc did think it was Humira. She told me to stop taking. I am on a low dose BP med and eliminated as much salt as possible and get as much potassium as possible in my diet. I have always eaten well, worked out, and do Yoga. Now I am on Cimzia and my BP, with meds and other steps I have taken, has been 117/59 and 126/77 the last two doctor's visits.
Good luck and go to your primary care doctor!

The EXACT thing happened to me! I've been on and off of Humira with perfectly normal blood pressure. about after a month of restarting it, my blood pressure went up to 153 over 90. At another Dr appt. it was 180 over 90. Now I'm on blood pressure meds but I get so up tight at the thought of taking my blood pressure, that it's still high. I'm hoping my internist will be able to help. I'm planning to stop Humira altogether and am hoping my pressure will go down.
