I just wanted to know how many symptoms people get when they aren't having a flare. My Daughter is only 2 so its hard to tell sometimes, but she has been on a long flare with joint pain too, she is on prednisone, sulfazalazine, the joints have gotten better but not 100% by a long shot, and now her tummy and runs are back too. It just seems she replaces one symptom with another.

My Crohn's was clinically in remission for the last 4 years or so (think I'm just starting to flare again, though), but I have never been completely symptom free.  My arthritis has still be flaring for over a year and a half and we cannot get it under control without affecting either my liver enzymes or my stomach.  I would still get stomach spasms on a weekly or sometimes even daily basis.  Things were much, much better, but still not like a "normal" person.  I think someone has asked this before and most people who replied said they still had some symptoms.
Crohn's Disease, Acid Reflux/Gastritis, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Endometriosis, Arthritis, Depression/Anxiety.  Too many meds to list them all.  =)

I too am in remission, but still have bad days. Many of us also suffer with IBS as well, so that can cause its own problems. Good luck!

Thanks for replies, I am still not sure if she is in remission or not, I guess when the prednisone stops we will probably know for sure either way.

I always have to use the bathroom more than normal folks and in a bigger hurray. Not sure if that is due to years of damage to the colon or the disease

I'm never symptom free. I've never actually achieved full remission, but even on good days I still have lots of diarrhea.

Too many years with CD
Two bowel resections, several obstructions.
Fibromyalgia and recently diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis and lupus.
B12 Shots bi-weekly

I am in remission and I am just using LDN, low dose naltrexone. It's been my only medicine, since 3 years, and the last few months I have no symptoms at all.

In 3 years my only symptom has been a few mild and short flares which I've managed to stop within a week or so by using a lower dose of prednisone (from 10 mg and down) in combination with LDN. In between the few flares I've been having a little d, just a few times each morning.

I am convinced that LDN has kept my symptoms on bay, because all the typical Crohns symptoms gradually dissapeared within a few weeks on LDN. My symptoms were: gas, bloating, pain every day, obstructions, severe anemia, fatique and diarrhea. /Bee
