A buddy of mine with a more severe form of Crohn's drinks pots of the stuff every day, probably because he hates and can't handle coffee. I'm not sure if it improves his quality of life, but it definitely doesn't hurt!
Diagnosed with typical Crohn's at 16.
Got lucky with Asacol for a year, then even luckier with ten years of relative remission.
Now abscesses and fistulas are having an "atypical" Crohn's party around my junk.
The surgeon said it is inoperable and so I start Remicade on May 7th.

I drink decaf green tea with org. honey everyday. It is a known anti-inflammatory. It helps.
Chamomile also relaxes bowel spasms and aids in healing.
When I get partially obstructed, I always drink chamomile and it helps.

Herbal teas aren't a cure all, but they sure do help. Could always try the green tea for a few days and let us know how you're symptoms have or haven't improved. Go for decaf and honey, I think the regular with sugar might irritate the bowels.

Good luck!
