Before I began Humira, I did not pass gas at all.  Now I seem to pass it quite frequently and it smells awful.  I have been on Humria since Dec.  I heard that passing gas indicates a healthier colon.  Is smelly gas a side effect of Humira?  Is it because I am still in a mild flare?  I still have some mucous and for the most part formed stools.  Thanks for any insight.

as I posted earlier, I eat papaya's and they are natural digestive enzymne, it doesn't do me any good to take in pill form, because I hardly digest them. I've ahd 9ft of small bowel removed. but yes very normal for cd'er. you're lucky, most of us go many, many times in the am. my stools are never formed, loose and then bile, and more bile. so dehydration is areal problem for most of us, I know for me bad problem. I have to drink as much if not more than my sister who has a ostomey bag . I have to add this these threads are to funny, funny haha, not funny wierd. it's either smelly gas, pooping in walmart or morning bm's. only in a forum like this is this disgusable. when I go to group we don't diguse this like on this forum. probably because we don't see each other, you know it's easier to disguse when you're online, no barrier's. we let it all out. and that is why i like this forum, honesty is the best policy

If passing gas indicates a healthier colon then I must be cured! turn   But seriously for me I'm grateful to pass gas since it means I'm not completely blocked. That's a whole other story but I've noticed that the daily deposits are quite powerful. Courteousy flushes are mandatory. skull
