Has anyone ever had a red rash down the crack of their butt?? I have been swimming and taking flagyl. I am thinking it is yeast. I've been using a nystatin cream but it hasn't been doing much. It's probably yeast, right? I don't know who to call, my gyn, my pcp, or my GI doc. Could this be part of crohn's at all???? As always, thanks!!!!!

Yes, it could probably be yeast, you're using antibiotics and it's known to trigger yeast. Your medicine will help you later on, it takes time to kick in./Bee

Call your PCP they'll direct you into the right direction if it's not them who can help. Best of luck! Hope it clears up soon.

I went to my dermatologist and she said it was yeast. It's been hot as hell down here and I've been swimming a lot, so I guess it makes sense.

Maybe I'll give that a try this weekend but I'd have to use a lot of sunscreen, it terribly hot down here! LOL.....
