Perinicious Anaemia

Thought I would highlight this condition especially as those with crohn's tend to suffer with B12 deficiency. Again it is an auto immune type illness and as you will know blood tests show up your levels of B12 but you can have a good level in your blood sample but still have perinicious anaemia and symptoms can include heart palpatations, dizziness, tingling in hands and feet etc and if it is not picked up can be pretty severe. Again it is pretty common in those with IBS and IBD and my concern is that one could have the symptoms but simply put it down to the 'normal' B12 deficiency. Wiki has further information on it.
 
Close family member has been diagnosed (which sent me off on research) Chances are that DS is a likely candidate for this too
