I can't believe it already time for my surgery. This week has been a hard one. I haven't ate since Sunday. I'm tired and weak. Doing my bowel prep right now and it's not working out to good.

Have you guys drank red gaterade with your bowel prep? I feel like it's going to keep looking red. I'm trying to drink water to flush it all out.

Wish me luckk

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. I had a resection just over 2 years ago and I'm glad I did. Let us know how you're doing when you're able to. As far as the prep, I used green gaterade. I hope a long remission is ahead of you. Take care.

If you haven't eaten anything solid lately, you probably don't really need to do the prep. I was on a liquid diet for the month prior to mine, and the doc said to just not eat anything the evening before or the day of. And red and purple drinks are out of the question.

Best of luck, hope all goes well for you.

I also was told not to drink anything red or purple with the bowel prep. Good luck with the surgery!
Diagnosed with Crohn's in February 1997 and had a re-section in November of the same year. Was very aggressive with fistulas and narrowing. Was on TPN twice between diagnosis and surgery. Consider myself very fortunate to have been in remission since surgery which is almost 13 years! Just diagnosed with IBS in August 2010.

Hi, good luck with your surgery ...I'm sure it will all be fine!
One week today since I had mine ..... I'm doing great .....obviously a tad sore and stiff .....and look like a balloon ...but on the whole good! I had a job with the prep too .... I cheated on the last few glasses (boy.... the guilt I felt) but, no-one said anything so ....let the last few go if you want. Hugs xxxx
